What are the benefits of a charter school vs. a traditional school?
Q. My parents are debating on whether to enroll me in a regular public high school or a local charter school. The only reason I am fighting them is that I would be away from my friends. My parents think I am very bright and talented in music, and they believe that going to a charter school would somehow prepare me for college "better." Is that true? I have always dreamed of going to Stanford my entire life and I would do anything to get accepted. Please help?

A. ok...i'm currently attending a charter high school..the difference is that a charter school have academies of careers...like my school have medical, finance, cosmetology and so on...you choose the academy you would like and the one who most likely be your future Carree and perued it for the four years in high school...it prepares you for college, gives you an idea of what your major is going to be like...you do take regular classes including math, science, reading.
