A. Everything is possible. Just remember we are dealing with another law of economics -- high risk, high potential return. Otherwise it's a lovely country with enormous potential for tourism (beaches, ecotourism) and agriculture. It sounds strange but I was there in the mid 90s, there was still some fighting, at night I would hear the crack-crack-crack of gunfire up in the mountains and see UN armored vehicles riding around the streets of Sukhumi, but I felt safe. People were so positive, friendly, really enthusiastic about their future... Even now, though, it would be quite a risky place to invest. Abkhazia is recognized by almost no one, no bilateral agreements on protection of investments, it's in the middle of a politically hot area… [cont.]
