Community organizing is a process where people who live in proximity to each other come together into an organization that acts in their shared self-interest. Unlike those who promote more-consensual "community building," community organizers generally assume that social change necessarily involves conflict and social struggle in order to generate collective power for the powerless. A core goal of community organizing is to generate durable power for an organization representing the community, allowing it to influence key decision-makers on a range of issues over time. In the ideal, for example, this can get community organizing groups a place at the table before important decisions are made. Community organizers work with and develop new local leaders, facilitating coalitions and assisting in the development of campaigns. From Wikipedia under the

Q. Well you can't just give him a community, they might not want an organizer. Anyhow, after gaining some experience he can then maybe try to get elected mayor of a town or city to gain some executive experience to give him some type of credibility on his resume. Answered by Carl J - Sat Sep 6 09:28:28 2008 Now that Republicans are getting into the community organizing business, what will be the political outcome? Q. If Obama can shake down businesses for "donations" to liberal causes, then so can Republicans. We're new to the game so any hints from you dems will be helpful. You need to learn how to intimidate businesses, until they support your cause. Then you need to learn how to manufacture fraudulent ballots. And get people to vote many times And get all those bums on the street to vote, under the name of "Micky Mouse", etc. Then if it's a close election, demand a recount so you can manufacture more, "just found", votes. Bottom line is "extort" money and commit as much voter fraud as you can Answered by Thomas - Tue Nov 24 14:24:02 2009 Has Nobama been good for Chicago? What did his community organizing accomplish? Is hope a strategy?
Q. It's been one long, bloody year for the Windy City. Murders are up 13 percent. During the past school year, 29 Chicago-area youths were killed by gunfire. On one April weekend, 40 people were shot. Over the July Fourth weekend, nine people were gunned down - with three more killed this past weekend. The press is dubbing Chicago "Beirut by the Lake." "It's fair to say that violent crime in Chicago is out of control," Mr. Blagojevich said recently. "In certain communities in the city of Chicago, it is reaching epidemic proportions." Asked by zigfieldalamo - Sat Sep 13 06:54:48 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I believe it is obvious that Obama has not been any help to Chicago. He is not qualified to run a hot dog stand let alone the country. Obama is hoping that people do not realize his inability to lead.
