They can't issue currency, and their power to regulate financial institutions is very limited, because that's an area of exclusive federal control. States are also required, unlike the federal government, to balance their budgets. Answered by Lynn - Tue Feb 23 23:32:13 2010 I have receive good advice on money matters, now I'm stuck.?
Q. I put away money for my children college in a cd. Now my son will attend college this far, so far he is not receiving financial aid because of this, what should I do with this money it is in his name? Asked by jill m - Tue Mar 25 18:31:56 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. The basis for receiving federal student aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It takes into account your family finances and determines the amount of money your family should contribute to the student's education. If you son is not entitled to financial aid because of the CD then you need to keep reapplying. Once the CD has been reduced you will become eligible for aid. You need to keep updating the FAFSA. Talk to the financial counselor at your son's prospective school. They are usually very helpful in figuring out ways to assist. Here is the FAFSA site: Answered by Tom S - Tue Mar 25 18:43:54 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Money Matters" money matters jpg
